The Granby Police Department is committed to full inclusion for all of our citizens, including those affected by autism. The Police Patch Initiative strives to bring acceptance and awareness for all families within our community, and to be a source of support by funding, mentoring, educating, and collaborating with individuals, first responders, and community and school organizations. The Flutie Foundation provides critical, responsive, and innovative programming and services that answer the everyday challenges of keeping people with autism safe and included in their communities. Please help our department create a safe environment for all members of our community, including those affected by autism.

April is Autism Awareness Month. Officers from the department will be wearing a newly designed patch to promote autism awareness. The design was created by a Granby resident after a contest was held at the Granby Schools to create a new patch. The Granby Police Relief Association is selling these patches for $10.00 apiece and all the proceeds will go to the Doug Flutie Foundation.
