It is with great happiness and excitement that my last post on the Department’s webpage page is to announce the Granby Select Board appointed Lieutenant Kevin O’Grady Interim Chief of Police effective immediately. Kevin has been a police officer in Town since 1998 and has worked in several capacities and assignments up to and including his promotion to Lieutenant in 2017. Kevin, spent the majority of his Lieutenant’s tenure in a mainly administrative role working with me to run all of the department’s operation.

Over the past several months Kevin has been taking on the lion’s share of the department administrative load and basically running the department right beside me.

Kevin is uniquely qualified, trained and suited to run our department. As the outgoing Chief and a resident, I can tell you with the utmost confidence Kevin O’Grady is the person to continue directing our department in the right direction.

On a personal note, I wish Interim Chief O’Grady and the rest of the Granby Police all the best in all your future endeavors.

Congrats Interim Chief O’Grady!
