Beginning 7/13/26, National Grid will perform a visual patrol of their entire electric Transmission system. This work is expected to take approximately 3 to 4 weeks to complete. The pilots will fly Monday-Friday at their normal flight height and are not expected to hover around transmission towers or circuits unless an issue is found. The Town has received phone calls about residents starting to use the new trash carts and Waste Management not emptying them. USA Waste and Recycling has begun delivering the new carts for trash. Please do not use these carts until July 1st. The plan is to have them all delivered by the end of the week. Amherst Street paving is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 22nd, weather dependent. There will be detours set up at Amherst Street and West Street as well as Amherst Street and Amherst Road. The detour will be directing motorists down Burnett Street. Please use the designed detour or seek an alternate route.
Yard Waste Days are Scheduled for Saturday May 9th and Saturday June 13th at the Highway Department (15 Crescent Street) from 9am to 12pm.
