There are Two Ways to Apply
Paper Application
You will need to print off the application and complete it Once this is completed the application and the appropriate fee must be dropped off or mailed to the Public Safety Complex. If this is a renewal, please include a copy of your current LTC / FID and a copy of your Massachusetts Driver’s License with the application. New applicants will also be required to provide a copy of the appropriate training certificate as well. New applicants also must be fingerprinted and interviewed. If an officer is available at the time the application is dropped off, they will do it at that time. If no officer is available someone will contact you to come in and be fingerprinted and interviewed.
Portal Application
You will need to go to the State Portal and complete the application process. Once this is completed the application and the appropriate fee must be dropped off or mailed to the Public Safety Complex. New applicants will also be required to provide a copy of the appropriate training certificate as well. New applicants also must be fingerprinted and interviewed. Please renew your pistol permit one month before expiration.
Cost is $100, payable ONLY by check or money order to the Town of Granby
Renewals for residents older than age 70 are free.
The new application process will take approximately 20 minutes.
